We have extensive experience in three sub-specialties of the real estate business in New York – hotel properties, the fine arts and retail. We have long been engaged in various aspects of hotel management and development and in the acquisition, renovation and sale of luxury hotels. Our history has been closely tied to two legendary Manhattan hotels in particular: The Mark, at 77th Street and Madison Avenue, and the Stanhope, at Fifth Avenue and 81st Street.

E. William Judson played a pivotal role in the series of transactions that updated these classic pre-war structures and prepared them for new commercial success in the 21st century. He purchased the Hyde Park, a residential hotel, and transformed it into the iconic Mark Hotel in 1977, turning it into an elegant destination that attracted high-end art galleries and luxury retailers to the neighborhood.

Judson Realty possesses a unique understanding of the needs of the art world and has a stellar reputation for its work for galleries, museums, artists and collectors in their endeavors. The firm assembled a large parcel of properties for the Whitney Museum of American Art, paving the way for its expansion. Judson Realty is a leader in arranging property sales and leases for galleries and museums. Building Management

Judson Realty is a custom real estate management firm specializing in smaller properties and properties that require renovation and upgrading. The firm handles all aspects of property management, from basic rent collection and bill payment to originating and negotiating tenant leases – both commercial and residential. We oversee all facets of renovation and improvement projects, including sourcing proven architectural firms, contractors, expeditors and more. We organize certiorari proceedings, including the recommendation of experienced lawyers and accountants. As just one example, the firm assembled a large parcel for the Allen-Stevenson School, resulting in a dramatic expansion of this venerable local institution.
